What Your Car Says About You

Tue May 06, 2003 12:23 am

I am a slut.

I charge $5000 a night.

I have a very small pecker (This is how I compensate)

I have NO pecker.

I'm good at arguing on the Internet (but would get my ass pulverized in an actual street fight)

I am gayer than a French Horn.

I still listen to Top 40 music meant for people half my age.

I listen to Country Music and wear boots, even though my boots never went somewhere that wasn't already paved with concrete or grass.

I am a mindless, soulless, spineless bureaucrat.

I don't believe in birth control

Need I even say?

The funniest thing would be watching some anti-rice kid get completely wasted by a riced up Toyota Supra on the track. (Toyota Supra=330hp from factory).

Bottom line: Not all ricers are looks only.

Mika, happens daily at the races out here. The fastest cars we have show up are tuned Supras and 300ZXs. Mustangs, Corvettes, Vipers, etc get eaten for lunch.  Big thumbs up

Consequently, Civics, Preludes, and the like are still laughed at, but the faster asian cars...Supras, 300ZXs, RX-7s, NSXs, S2000s....are taken very seriously.

Matt, do any cars say good things about their owners?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

My dirty truck, it says that I actually use what I drive. I just used the ol' S10 contractor's truck to haul dirt and mulch yesterday. Not much compared to what it could do (it's not your conventional cheapo S10), but it's more than what most pompous bureaocrats use their F250's and F350 duallie's for.

Cheers

Very funny. Lets put some more salt in he wounds. I think many car images differ around the world. Here some European stereotypes ..

18-24 sunglass boys in western Europe drive these. Mostly old Golfs or Opels & Subarus. Darkened window and loud Pioneer stereo(& sticker on back window) are part of the deal.

These are used by housewives in their forties/fifties that want to look cool doing the shopping. BMW made the Z5 look aggressive to avoid this next time.

Trendy for bringing the kids to school & park in front of the school door. Some families were willing to spent too much of the budget to make mum look young & dynamic.

Greg, I think it's also a good indication that you might be single (sort of).

I want to know how people can afford to trick out their cars. I think the Hondas, Nissans, Neons, and VWs look great if they are tricked out just right (see photos above). The people that own them sure as heck do not flip burgers for a living! I want to trick out my Escort like that. The Neon gives me an idea.......

Cars like the Twin Turbo Supra, 300ZX Twin Turbo, RX7, Honda S2000 don't fit in the Rice category. These cars are pure performance machines, and in the case of the Twin Turbo Supra- it has unlimited potential and is one mean machine!

Problem with Beamers here is that as soon as the model is a few years old, and second hand prices drop a bit, loads of people buy them and modify them until they look absolutely awful! Kind of makes you not want one..

MattD:
I have to disagree with you on that one.
The Ford Crown Victoria is the best buy on the road.
That car states that your a fiscally conservative PATRIOT that wants the most car for the least amount of money. That car only cost $22K brand new and you get a 6 passenger sedan with a V8 engine that puts out 220HP at low RPMs.
And to think that some people will spend the same on a Toyota Camery is insane.
That Crown Victoria was also MADE IN THE U.S.A. by the proud hard working men & woman at the Ford Motor Company.

Buy American!

All of the other cars you talk about, you are spot on the money!

The Toyota Camry is also made in the USA by hard-working men and women. They have 3 manufacturing plants employing thousands of Americans, almost certainly decent paying union jobs, too.  Smile

Well actually it's only two wheel drive unfortunately so I can't take it off road. I can't actually drive it for 5 months when I turn 16 so I am renting it out to my step dad for his business.

However my truck will be perfect for me when I can drive in September because I can throw my skidoo in the back of it stuff. Also I plan on getting a boat next summer if I can pay off my sled so it will be perfect for that too. I might get me one of dem fancy boats that comes a long with a toe a long though.

I actually drive an American made car. The Ford Probe. With the 5 speed gearbox it's a pretty decent performer- beleive it or not it's faster than my old 1986 Toyota Soarer twin turbo Auto!

I see cars all over that are tricked out. Most of them seem to be Preludes and Civics. I learned to drive manual on a Civic 1500. That thing would have been great with the right paint, sound system and muffler! Plus, it had power. I don't go for speed, I go for the look and sound (see VW and Neon above)

Look and sound over power? Thats a bit odd. Yeah its nice to have a nice looking car, but its pointless if it doesnt have power. Case in point, when home in Japan, I drive my Toyota Supra Twin Turbo R. Its an older model (91), and the paint job is scratched up in the corners (I think the guy driving it before me didn't know how to park very well), but ooh, those 280 horses with the turbo whine..*drool*. I dont care if it was painted bright fuschia, as long as I have I have that power, I'm a happy man.

So Matt D., because I have painted calipers, rims and a small spoiler (stock), does that mean my 95 M5 is a rice car?
