Bored in Madrid ?
Why not go to the numerous art galleries, like the Thyssen Bornemisza *however it's spelt*... take a side trip to El Escorial San Lorenzo, have coffee and Churros in one of the squares/playas... go and learn how to distinguish one ham from another when U visit the numerous "Museo de Jamon" Big grin

I'd love to go there again! Hell, even spot in Barajas ! I need to meet my friend who's in the reconstructing of Barajas...

Bored in Madrid?

Remember, Madrid is the city of the "two B's": banks and bars everywhere you go. How can you get bored with so many terraces, bars, clubs and wonderfully dressed spanish women around?

Madrileños are known to be open people. Even when your knowledge of the Spanish language is limited, you won't find it hard to get a conversation going.

Go and see an Original Language movie (V.O., look in section in El Pais or other newspaper) in one of the many movie theatres in the city centre.

Go to the El Retiro and have some cañas at the terraces.

Go to the special summer-terraces at "los bulevares" round 11 o'clock at night and have yourselve some "cuba libres" while admiring the spanish women.

Go to the Plaza Mayor and take some (very expensive) Jamón Ibérico with some red wine or beer. Visit the 'old Madrid centre' like Las Vistillas, or the streets around Plaza Mayor.

Or go to Plaza Santa Ana at night (Cervecería Alemana). You'll probably find other foreign people in a similar situation as you.

Just some things coming up my mind...

Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía
Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporáneo
Museo del Prado
Centro Cultural Conde Duque
Parque de Atracciones
Flamenco Shows

Shopping on Gran Via

The 3 bus tours covering the city (start at Puerta del Sol)

The highspeed train to Sevilla takes appr. 2 hrs.

etc. etc.

Folks,

Im not on vacation... I saw all of these sights. Ive been here for 2 weeks.... My question is simple yet deviden in 2 parts. Let me clarify.

1. Are you in Madrid?
2. Do you want to hang out or spot at Barajas?

If you cannot reply with a "sí" or "yes" to both of these then don´t reply.

And the trip to Barcelona is planned for June 28th. Spannair and Iberia Buisness Class
