Pet Rodents

Wed Jun 18, 2003 6:10 am

I just cannot grasp this phenomenon...rodents for pets. Last night, I went out with my neighbor, and we stopped back at her place before I went home. This was my first time at her place, and interestingly enough she has about 8 rats in an aquarium that she kept from a bio experiment at college (the experiment is over). These things were massive! They looked like sewer rats. I asked her why she had them and she said she thought they were cute and fun to play with. No offense, but I dont find anything cute that carries lots of contagious disease. Its not like a dog, which can lick you. I think that rats only show emotion one way...biting Its actually pretty ironic, here we keep rodents as pets, yet in other parts of the world they would do anything to get rid of them.

I had a pet gerbal. He was very loyal, and always wanted to please me.

I met this girl's pet beaver once. I didn't know what to do with it and it scared me. I've never been back - beaver's never really interested me.

Baby mice are a staple for my Tarantula. I do have a pet hamster though also.
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?
