Silent Hill 3 - PS2 - Tips?

Mon Jun 30, 2003 8:20 am

Heya guys,

I just got Silent Hill 3 for my PS2 the other week and finally got around to playing it on the weekend.

This is probably the most awesome game of it's type I have played on the PS2!

It's creepy, it's bloodthirsty, the scenes are brilliant!

Who else has it here? And do you have any tips or tricks?

Cheers,

mb

Hmm, I have to try it someday. I hate Silent Hill 2 for XBOX, it was pretty scary at times!

Cool game, but if you want the scariest, most brilliantly put together horror genre game on PS2 try to hunt down Project Zero (called Fatal frame in the US, maybe in Australia too). Absolutely horrifically scary, but brilliant too. 'My eyes, where are my eyes!!!!' . Fabulous!

Ahh bollocks, I STILL haven't finished Silent Hill 2 ! It's just that the game is so damn scary, I can't play it longer than 10 minutes cause I'm afraid I'll get a coronary, I have no idea how I managed to finish the first game....

For tips and tricks, well I'm sure there are plenty of good walkthrough's around the net, I am a big cheap cheater and I don't play a game without consulting one, especially Silent Hill, I can't wonder around aimlessly in that hellish town !! I would pee in my pants !

Ryan,

I'm having a look for it.

Silent Hill 3 is freaky to say the least - the mall is easy compared to some of the other scenes which are excessively graphic.

So it sounds like Project Zero will make my eyes bleed.

SR117,

I always get caught by the puzzles until I do a few and set the logic in my mind to keep an eye out for them. SH3 was no exception - it took me yonks to work out how to get the keys from the storeroom.

Yeah project zero is about being in a haunted mansion and you have a camera which you use to 'kill' the ghosts. Sounds stupid and bizarre but in reality it is utterly compelling. 'GET OUT OF MY CHAAAIIIRRRRR!!!!!!' Yikes! It's all coming back now  Sad Big grin
