Octodog - Wrong On So Many Levels...!

Fri Jul 11, 2003 9:51 am

Guys,

Take a look at the following link.

Following on the trail of the odd ice cream company is the single most scary / creepy / weird thing I have ever seen - and it's *wrong* in so many ways.

It's a device to turn your ordinary hotdog into an 'Octodog'.

Just go to the site and look - and you must click on the *HOW DOES IT WORK*.

http://www.octodog.net/index.htm

Does anyone else find this totally weird / creepy?

Why the hell would anyone want to circumsize their frankfurters?

Most guys born in America have their frankfurters circumsized and don't even know it...

I agree, the 'How does it work' bit is really graphic. The really hilarious part of the 'How does it etc...' is step five, where you actually see a post Frankfurter Converter hotdog on someone's plate. How an octopus, fully formed, with eyes and everything, could be appealing to anyone, let alone a child who's sensitive about food, is beyond me.

Oh yeah, and the bit about 'Get your camera ready!' to take fun snaps and enter an Octodog photo competition - yeah right, capture on Kodak forever the image of your traumatised first-born, running, screaming in mortal terror away from the dinner table. Nice.

Dear god.
