Laptop/Airplane Power Help

Fri Jul 18, 2003 10:52 am

I will be going to Hawaii very soon and plan on taking my laptop on the plane to listen to music and stuff.

I know that the 767's have 15V DC current and use the cigarette style outlet.

My computer says it needs 19V DC to run.

Is there anything I can buy to make my computer run on the power ports?

My computer will not run on the battery (only runs like 30 mins and that is on idle).

Thanks for the help.

Lavatories in Boeing aircraft are equipped with 120VAC outlets, but I don't think you will be able to stash in there for a couple of hours. It was more meant for shavers.

Some airlines, however, have 120 outlets every couple of bulkheads or so, and some have power ports in business class at every seat.

Go to Radio Shack and ask them. I think you can buy a transformer there that will work.
Next time try the old "dirty Sanchez" She'll love it !!!

You need one of these... it works, I've used it on AA.

I wish more planes had outlets. I'd love to be able to work on my laptop when I fly.
