Norton Recycle Bin Help

Thu Jul 31, 2003 1:43 pm

I have 4 files in the Norton recycle bin that I can not delete and can not recover. How do I get rid of the files?

If I try to delete them it says "Unable to purge them because it's a existing file and has no UnErase information to be purged" and if I try to recover the files it says "Unable to recover because it's not a erased file"

Try rebooting! Failing that, uninstall Norton and delete the offending. I hate the Norton recycle feature - it's like taking out the trash twice - and installed the program without that feature.

If in Windows, restore to an earlier point and start over. What are the file extensions you are trying to delete?

They weren't really files, they were folders of songs I downloaded that I didn't want anymore.

And thanks for the help  Smile/happy/getting dizzy First I hit the reset button on the computer but that didn't get rid of them, then I shut the whole computer off and when I turned it back on they were gone.
