Arsenal@LHR And Elbonia

Thu Jul 31, 2003 11:16 pm

Well, seeing as Arsenal@LHR seems to not know anything about Elbonia, I think maybe we should have a thread to post about what we all know about Elbonia.
Maybe this will stop discussions about Elbonia going into other threads also  Smile

Ok, who wants to start? Share your thoughts about Elbonia  Big thumbs up

North Elbonia is to the North of South Elbonia, and Middle South East Elbonia is wedged between both, but rather on the South Eastern side, not the South. Western...I thought that much was clear!!!

signed,

everybody who knows where Elbonia is

General Ambassador of Middle South East Elbonia to the virtual Aviation Realm is:

YOURS TRULY!!!

and the International Airport is very spotterfriendly and is located in South Elbonia, where you still need valid visa for entry, and several nice spotterpoints, that are located in (visa-free!!!!) Middle South East Elbonia!

Why this thread...Good Lord, every kid around the world knows this!!!

btw. Living in mud...yes these are the poor and enslaved brothers and sisters in communist weasel state North Elbonia, whose deputy sub consul is Bobrayner

No, actually, the Airliners.net mechanic guy lived in Elbonia, but not anymore. However, the guy who took the shot (me) is indeed Elbonian, and still live there.

Korean Air is starting 3 daily flights to Elbonia with a B777-300.
Air Elbonia has state of the art IL-62s which have 15" seat pitch, way more than the standards of other high quality airlines of the world.
Air Elbonia is competing with Elbonian Airlines, which is from North Elbonia.

Elbonia International Airport, the highest airport in the world, at 13123ft.
It is also the airport with the most dangerous approach, more dangerous than Kai Tak, and Tegucigalapa !!

And don't forget about the civilization of leprechauns that live under the mud. All Elbonian Airlines domestic flights are by catapult, much like their space program. And we cannot forget about their ambassador:

And we still did not grant permission for that third flight, it's still under negotiation...but otherwise you are completely right, of course!

I know two guys from Elbonia, the people from there are very nice and polite.

But I must agree with Andreas, do we really need this thread? Every kid knows about Elbonia, mainly because it is separated in three parts:

- South Elbonia (or just Elbonia)
- North Elbonia (communistic government)
- Middle South East Elbonia (very exclusive country like Monaco)

Maybe some of you guys should pay more attention in geography lesson!

I understand the Elbonian Air Force is intending to buy 50 catapults to launch its fleet of F-16s into the air.

Well, actually, right now, Kai Tak approach is slightly more dangerous. (try to land there, you'll understand why)

THe approach for RW33 is quite tricky : you have to fly heading 150 at 1000 ft AGL, before making a step left turn, heading 060, directly towards a mountain (this mountains prevent direct approach on RW33) and start the descent, on a 5% glide. Then you turn left, heading 015, parallel to that mountain, and as soon as you can, take heading 330, while maintaining the 5% glide.

Be warned as well that the surorunding area is completely inhabitated.

Cheers,

Antoine (flying out and then back to EIA tonight if there is not to much windshear)

EIA is quite quiet today... not much traffic... not a good day for spotting !!

Looks like Rwy 15 is active today... Which even has a harder approach...

The two KE flights from Busan and Seoul are a good example that Korea is an important trade partner for Elbonia, a lot of Korean business man are coming to the country but also tourists.

Yes, when the QFU is 15, the approach glide has to be 7% for airliners, due to a hill right under the flight path.

But one thing I don't know. Has the Crown Prince of Elbonia got his own private plane. I imagine he flies to Korea quite a bit, as it seems there are strong international knots between the two countries. Does his female companion always fly with him?

Any pictures?

I guess that South Korea is the number destination for Elbonia's number one export, leprechaun meat. Or they are the number importer of Elbonian mud.

So he's got a Jodel. Does that mean Elbonia is quite near South Korea, or is that only used for when he goes to Skopje?

North Elbonia recently sought to acquire significant quantities of uranium from Niger.

Ray: No of course not, Elbonia is much closer to where you are, North Elbonia is very close to South Elbonia, and there's Middle South East Elbonia wedged between, though rather to the South East than South West...but that's been said already.

....and the aircraft above is of course the longhaul version, so South Korea non-stop is not really a problem! Neither is Washington DC nor Skopje!

Yes Boeing we are very worried about that though it is actually not uranium they are trying to buy, but mud. Their own mud reservoirs will not last much longer. Such intelligence btw has been given to GWB by the former deputy sub consul of North Elbonia, BobRayner, who defected last night to Middle South East Elbonia!! A big hit for our secret service community!
