Fresh coffee in a brisk cold morning (around 6:00) mixed with leather seats and clean airplane interior aroma. (wow, that's being specific)  Smile

In-flight magazines and safety briefing cards (only when ON the plane or soon after bringing 'em off the a/c)

Those girlie things from Bath & Body Works (try the apple and the raspberry hand soap).

Wet dirt after rain.

end rant.

When you can smell a beautiful woman on the street or in a building that you might not even see (even my radar doesn't detect some).

Also, the smell of a nice Chipotle burrito after not having one for a month or so.

The smell of sweat when you've just completed a practice in the gym or something else that you are proud of. (not just regular sweat)

Aw gee BigPhilNYC, you could have just told me yesterday who you were. Do you remember my answer? Come on now Karina, fess up.

OK I'm teasing but a woman I know asked me the same yesterday. I lied and told her it was apple and cinnamon. She's too young (26) for me to tell the truth. The answer though is first on the following list.

My list.
1) If you don't know yet, I hope you will soon.
20) Newly mowed grass.
21) Burning kerosene.
22) Root beer.
23) Dr Pepper.

#2 to #19 reflect #1

-Brand new tires. They smell so good.

-The smell right before it begins to rain..when everything is slowly getting
damp from the drizzle.

-Of course, jet fuel

-I'm not sure what this smell is, but I smell it every time I'm in the Cessna at some larger airport and a jet taxies in front of me. It's like JetFuel mixed with the smell of the cabin.

Cheers

Actually, I'm partial to AVGAS, but Jet A does have a great smell too.

My favorite smell is whatever it is that my girlfriend smells like, which is probably a conglomerate of all the different stuff that she uses, i.e. lotion, perfume, etc. I commonly refer to that scent as "girl." After a good cuddle session, I've got that smell all over me, and I love it.

Also:

Fresh cut grass, (golf)
The desert,
Aspens and pines in dry, summer air (the mountains,)
Stale coffee smell in commercial jets
Burnt coffee smell in FBOs
(even though I don't drink coffee)
The ocean (even though I live in BOS, I prefer the West Coast for ocean related pursuits)

AND....

I love the smell of a brand new Sectional Chart. I always take a huge wiff...

Lots of people mention jet fuel. I wonder if they really mean jet exhaust? you don't get many oportunities to smell the fuel but that smell of the exhaust as the aircraft taxies past........

Freshly cooked bread

Curry (of course)

If you'll notice my previous post, the first item is "Jet Blast" which would be the smell of exhaust. Personally, I hate the smell of kerosene (Jet A) and absolutely HATE going "tank diving" however, the smell of partially burnt Jet-A, in the form of Jet Blast, is a great smell!
