Drinking Age In Toronto?

Hey guys,
I'm planning a vacation for me and a few friends New Years Eve, and I'm wondering what the drinking age is in Toronto. I know Montreal it's 18, but I hear from 50% of the people that it's 19 in Toronto, the other half says it's 18. I don't want to plan a beer trip to a state where we can't drink!

Please help!

19 years of age is merely a suggestion. If you can throw money on the bar your all set.  Smile)

At least that's how it was when I was between the ages of 16-18. May be tougher now.

The drinking age in Toronto as well as all of Ontario in 19 and they try to enfoce it like they would anywhere

19. Expect to be asked for ID if you look anything remotely like 19.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Any place with a bouncer, expect to have your ID checked. Some bartendes will also ask for your ID. I'm approaching 30, and I still have my ID checked on a constant basis.

19 is the buying cigarettes and drinking age in T.O. Still not as bad as 21 in the States, however.

Before I left, some of the clubs downtown were checking people's driver's licenses with a scanner to make sure your ID's legit. Apparently, I was told by one of the bouncers who I knew rather well, those scanners take down your personal info and sell it to different companies.

Don't try buying at the Skydome even if you are well over 19 unless you have either a US or Canadian ID. The dipshits there don't seem to realize that there are other countries in the world too who also issue photo ID.
