Religion Selector

Sat Aug 16, 2003 5:11 am

Reading the other religion thread right now made me think of the Religion Selector over at SelectSmart.com. The test is 20 questions long, but it pretty much tells you what religion best fits with your own beliefs. So, take the test and post the results if you want.

Take the test here: http://selectsmart.com/RELIGION/

My results:

1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (90%)
3. Mahayana Buddhism (89%)
4. New Age (80%)
5. Jainism (77%)
6. Hinduism (76%)
7. Theravada Buddhism (76%)
8. Liberal Quakers (71%)
9. Reform Judaism (68%)
10. Sikhism (68%)
11. Secular Humanism (61%)
12. New Thought (60%)
13. Mainline - Liberal Christian Protestants (54%)
14. Scientology (54%)
15. Taoism (48%)
16. Orthodox Judaism (47%)
17. Non-theist (46%)
18. Bahá'í Faith (46%)
19. Islam (36%)
20. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (34%)
21. Orthodox Quaker (29%)
22. Mainline - Conservative Christian Protestant (19%)
23. Seventh Day Adventist (13%)
24. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (9%)
25. Eastern Orthodox (3%)
26. Jehovah's Witness (3%)
27. Roman Catholic (3%)

Heh. I've taken this test a couple times before and I always find it so ironic that Roman Catholic -- the religion I was raised with -- is almost always dead last.

My top 10:
1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. New Age (96%)
3. Liberal Quakers (94%)
4. Unitarian Universalism (91%)
5. Secular Humanism (86%)
6. Mainline - Liberal Christian Protestants (77%)
7. Mahayana Buddhism (74%)
8. Taoism (73%)
9. Reform Judaism (63%)
10. Scientology (62%)

and dead last:
26. Roman Catholic (19%)
27. Jehovah's Witness (7%)

Strange, I never really thought of myself as a Liberal Quaker ! and I resent being called a New Age wacko. I do agree with the Universalist Unitarians though, they look like sensible people ! and I remember reading somewhere that they were amongst some of the best educated churches.
