Hello!

Mon Aug 18, 2003 5:07 am

Hi all,

Just wanted to say hi, as I'f finally got an account on these forums and look forward to chatting with you all.

I've been lurking here for quite some time...several months in fact, reading your discussions and learning from them. (And laughing a bit at times). so don't be too surprised if I already know who alot of you are. Big grin

Finally saved up enough to get the account though, many thanks to Johan for giving the option of a premium membership. I'd have had to wait a lot longer to afford the first class. (I'm out of work, you see.  Big grin )

About me: I'm an FS aircraft developer, haven't done a major project for a while but I've got alot of 757s up on flightsim.com, and I'm a member of their forums too.

Big fan of older music...50s through the 90s. Yes, I admit it, I'm an elvis fan. Big grin Also love Pink Floyd, Genesis, (and all solo artists related to Genesis), Fleetwood Mac, The Police, etc...british music mostly. Progresive Rock is good stuff but I've got an ear for a catchy tune on the radio as well. (Not a fan of modern music for the most part though).

Aviation: The 727 is my favourite plane. I dont know what my favourite airline is but I think Aloha could very well be it. Hope to fly for a living in the coming years if flight school goes well but if not maybe I'll find something boring to do.

Annnnddd....I'm interested in politics, from an observer's standpoint..wouldn't want to work in that field. Too nasty.

Anyway, so, there's my introduction to you all and a great big hello to everyone on this forum. Big grin

Welcome.

Just to put our minds at ease, could you please confirm whether or not you currently own a BMW, have ever owned one in the past, or have any intention of buying one in the future?
We've been meaning to put that question on the sign-up form but haven't gotten around to it yet  Big grin.

No, no, and maybe

If I buy one in the future depends on if I have the cash, and what kind of car the competition is offering.  Wink/being sarcastic

Heck, if there was one thing I thought I was known for in my otherwise unspectacular moderating stints, it was for *facilitating* the notorious ILS's permanent departure from these forums  Acting devilish

That was ILS's permanent departure as ILS, that is ... of course, he came back as Aloha737-200 or something like that for a while ... and then as several other names.

Aloha717200, in case you hadn't noticed during your months of lurking, this ILS guy made such an impact on these forums that all new male users under the age of 20 are almost automatically viewed as possible new incarnations of ILS, come back to haunt us  Big grin Especially if their usernames start with the word "Aloha" ....

Just don't ever post here telling us you've just bought a BMW and you'll be fine  Smile

But Southflite, are you sure ILS was Aloha737-200? I remember the latter as a good, kind and mature person, he deleted himself after some cruel attacks from certain users.

Well, I would like to let this slide, but if you have been 'lurking' around here, like AA61hvy likes to lurk around Jcs' dorm, then you know how things go.

So, Aloha717200, for your shameless self-glossing introduction, and hoping that I could let this slide, I am proud to present you, in your very first thread on Airliners.net, the one and only...

Surely if you have been lurking about this site as you so proclaim, then you would obviously know how we take to no calorie, ego inflating, shameless self elevating posts. And then adding to that a minimalist plea not to do anything about it is like asking to be served low fat fried chicken.

So in recognition of your pompous ignorance, I am here to show to the whole world that

NoUFO. I am proud to award you the ORIGINAL as well. Not only for that bouncing dog or panda or whatever it is, but for you questioning anything about the Shaft. The Shaft is the Alpha and the Omega, and I control it. That is all you need to know.

It draws me in and I cannot stop staring at it!

 Wow!

Rgds,

BTW, welcome Aloha717200, is this the quickest the shaft has ever been awarded to a new user?

Krocy, thank you but I have got so many shafts already - amongst them are another Original Shaft ("Made in Taiwan") as well as two (!) copies of the First Timer Shaft (because I lied to Kathrin) - I'm not sure whether or not I can fully appreciate YOUR Original Shaft.

777fan: I'm sorry for your inconvenience.  Big thumbs up Why not click here to escape from from this disturbing animation?

AA61hvy. Great post. I actually laughed out loud. Well done and so true.

Aloha717200, sorry but I also have a few questions...

Do you know the difference between I-35 and I-45??

Are you a retired adventurer?

Do you like Dittos?

if you answered no to all the above I have to say welcome to A.net and enjoy the forums. If you answered yes to any of the above I have a question for you. Did you ever get the Volvo repaired?

Yours,

I-35 and I-45?

I realy don't know what those are...I guess interstate numbers? (I'm being serious here I have no clue what you mean)

Not a retired adventurer.

I don't like the word "ditto" used in conversation as it seems like a cheap excuse for not using a bigger sentence.  Smile

Hope that helps answer these (confusing) questions!  Confused

Aloha717, ILS is/was a real pain in our backsides for a long time. He appeared on the forums under MANY ID's claiming to be a lot of things, a lot of AGES, and we always managed to catch him.. A simple IP check goes a long way.. As for Ditto, that's his last name.. I posted his address somewhere a while back, but I don't think it was on here.. Anyway..

The short: He's a liar, a loser, and will never change.. Just some sorry-ass kid starving for extra attention..
