How To Get To Lakeland Fla.?

Fri Aug 29, 2003 1:14 pm

How do I get there from Miami KMIA?
Do any regional airlines connect there, or would Greyhound be my best bet?

Take into consideration I haven't been to Florida in more than 10 years.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Orlando and take I-4 west. No airline service. Tampa and I-4 east also works well.

Yeah but CanadianNorth, most of the members here are city boys. They'd have a hard time without PTV on the flight in or satellite television in every room at the motel. And the hooror they'd think upon seeing a real animal in the wild?

Sorry, being a pure snob a**hole. I think I need to unretire or, better yet, get rid of all the California transplants that cannot cross a wash with 3 inches of water while driving a $40,000, 4WD, SUV.

I'll quit now.

You can also take Amtrak from MIA to LAL...It's gotta be better than Greyhound! Plus, if you're not used to driving on I-4, you might be taking your life in your hands (I drive it daily and every time - I'M taking my own life in my hands - AND I LIVE HERE!).

IMissPiedmont-You might want to rethink your directions, from Orlando to Tampa you would be heading WEST not EAST as you previously mentioned. Lakeland is about half way between Orlando and Tampa.

thanks all,

Will check out Amtrak and Greyhound sites for more details. Won't mind the scenic route anyways, not pressed for time.

thanks again.
