Edward Teller (Father Of The H-bomb) Dies At 95

Wed Sep 10, 2003 2:11 pm

One of the last great men of the Manhattan Project and a man who served his adopted country for over 1/2 a century is gone. As someone who has studied the history of nuclear weapons I'll just say Teller was one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century and despite the work he was involved in, his goal was always once of peace but a peace through strength.

Teller's service to the United States was rewarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on July 23, 2003.

Agreed. A brilliant man. I was going to post something on this.

Rumor has it that he was a consultant for Majestic-12 (you UFO buffs should know what that's all about). Supposedly, he wrote some letter to President Reagan outlining the serious nature of the "threat" (and the "real" reason of all that "Starwars" spending). Pretty spooky stuff if this shit's for real.

Another of the great minds that kept the peace during the last half of the last century passes.

I am just waiting for the cooks to come out of the woodwork and condemm him now that he is dead.
