Prepaid GSM Cards In Germany

Sun Sep 28, 2003 11:29 am

Hi fellow German members,

I am going to be in Germany next month and am wondering if they have any prepaid GSM phone cards I can purchase for instant activation and usage? (instead of using my foreign GSM account roaming at unacceptable rates).

If there are, any websites with links for further info?

Thanks!

Hi,

you have a few choices:

T-Mobile X-tra Card

Vodafone Callya
http://www.vodafone.de/preise_tarife/callya/tarife/26720.html

E-Plus Free & Easy

O² Loop
http://www.o2online.de/o2/interessenten/tarife/prepaid/uebersicht/index.html

The cards all cost about 40€ and have 15€ loaded on them after purchase.

The websites are all in German unfortunately.

Of those 4, which has the best coverage and the best rate? Or is anyone specifically cheaper?

I would be using it in Dusseldorf, Cologne and Frankfurt.

Thanks!
