I'm indian and it depends on what part of the country your family originated; if northern, then they grow a beard while the southerners (like my folks) dont. Of course then there are the lines of those who hold their traditions that those that want to be like the USA, i.e. globalization is not entirely the US's fault. (make choices available and people will choose -- that's why i say markets dont exist)
I grew up here so I could care less, I have to shave within 2 days or it itches so much that i have breakouts. I have like hypersensitive skin, so y'know, it sux.
Besides, some people near me think I am muslim when they see me before i shave -- there's ignorance for ya.
Most countries than have citizen that grow a beard will likely do it for tradition, i.e. older cultures.
The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.
