More Lebron Hatred

Mon Oct 27, 2003 12:52 pm

I saw a commercial a few moments ago on ESPN about Lebron not cracking under pressure... Lets get something straight... THE SEASON HAS NOT STARTED.. How can he with stand the pressure that isn't even there? There is no pressure in the off season. Lets see him nail a 3 pointer with .4 seconds left in the play offs..

Lets remember..HE HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING YET...

This bothers me so much.

Gee, wasn't that what I was telling you when you were already consigning him to basketball mediocrity BEFORE HE'S PLAYED ONE FRICKIN GAME IN THE PROS? And now, you complain about an ad?

On another note, Paul Silas has decided that LeBron will start the season at Point Guard. Silas had said earlier in the exhibition season that he didn't want to add any pressure to LeBron by inserting him there, but he had LeBron run the point the last two exhibition games, and not only did the Cavaliers play a hell of a lot better basketball, James scoring and assists went up, and his turnovers went down. Looks like it's a natural fit for him.

So beginning wednesday, those who care to watch the NBA on TV, or watch in person (of which I will not be a regular in the former, and a "never" in the latter), will find out what LeBron will be all about.

Yes I see what your saying here AA61hvy, I think Lebron will do great once the season starts, but saying all this stuff before the season is just out of hand I think. He has the potetential to be another Kobe or Mcgrady, I think they should just let him play, and let his playing do the talking for him. They are basically setting this thing up to be like if he doesnt average 30 PTS per game in his freaking rookie season, that it will be a terrible year for him. Thats way to much to ask from a rookie.

Covert: And he gets $90 million for that...what a joke...

Anyways, I will definitely be watching the Cavs-Kings game on Wednesday with great interest...will Lebron have a good debut? Or will he choke heavily under the spotlight? Time will tell...

That commercial is HORRIBLE, and makes no sense. I'm gonna laugh when this guy flames out.

I don't think the kid will flame out, KROC, as much as you seem to get off on believing he will. He's just got too much athletic ability, too much God-given basketball talent to flame out. Does that mean he'll be the greatest of all-time? Of course not, but, at the very least, I see him as being a All-Pro many times over, with an outstanding career.

Where am I getting off on thinking he will flame out? It's just my personal opinion that he will flame out. At least during his rookie year, and probably the first couple of years. Much like Kobe Bryant, but on a larger scale. While you seem to be a LeBron apologist Alpha 1, I'm not all over the guy like AA61hvy is.

I'm not apologizing for the kid, KROC. I've simply watched a lot of him the last few years-you can't help but be innudated with him in the Cleveland area media, since he played ball in Northeast Ohio. I watch him, and I see something very special. It probably will take a few years to develop, and I do think Carmello Anthonly will have a better rookie year, simply because he played that one year in the heat of an NCAA tournament. But in the long run, I think LeBron is a special player.

Not that I'm ever going to see him in person. I lost interest in the NBA over a decade ago.

He will do just fine in the NBA, he's a number 1 pick, for crying out loud!
