Favorite Holiday Movie

Sat Nov 08, 2003 8:02 am

I know there are MANY "favorite" posts here but now that it is getting close to that time of the year, what are the ones you enjoy the most?

For me its,
1. A Christmas Story ("You'll shoot your eye out!")  Big thumbs up
2. It's a Wonderful Life (Duh!)
3. Christmas Vacation ("The Shi**er was full!")
4. White Christmas (Rosemary Clooney was HOT in the 40's)
5. The Santa Clause (Tim Allen)

Gotta love "The Grinch" (the original, but I like the new one too), and this old "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" movie I saw once...
Shut up and calculate.

Gulfstream Guy --

I have to agree with your #3 pick - "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." I still have to hold on to my chair when it's time for that stinkin' squirrel to jump out of the tree.

A Christmas Story.....Easy choice, IT's clearly the best holiday movie. It's in a class of it's own.

It's A Wonderful Life, hands down.

If they remade it today, only one guy could play George Bailey, and that's Tom Hanks. It'd be neat to see a modern remake-but the original is the best holiday movie there is.

Alpha 1,

You're right, that would be neat if they remade it. Who do you think should play Clarence or Mary or even Mr. Potter?

Mr. Potter should be played by Brian Cox (The Ring)

Mary should be Kristin Davis (Sex and the City)

Clarence should be played by Eric Idle (Monty Python alum)

Any other suggetstions?
