Theres been little coverage of this story in the press so far on this news-story, Ive only seen it so far on SkyNews (Had a camera-recording of the incident), and a slight mention on FoxNews.
Anyway, what happened was 2 days ago in Northern Spain, people saw a meteor flying over the Town of Bilbao at over 5x supersonic speed, and they reported 2 massive bangs, the 2nd which occurred some seconds after the meteor was seen.
People noticed in the sky a streak of light, just like a fireball, which was way brighter than the sun.
Worried people thought a plane had crashed so they called local authorities, it wasnt until a space enthusisat rang up to say what they had seen was a meteor, until the authorities realised what had happened.
Apparently a person standing on the shore-line saw the meteor fly overhead, and some seconds later it impacted the sea, which (to the eyewitness) rose upwards some 8 storeys high (estimated.)
It just goes to show how something like this could easily happen over a City or crowded area, Imagine if it had impacted some few minutes Later, it would have gone somewhere into Southern England.
Its only time until the "big-one" hits.
Its not the fall that kills u, its the sudden stop at the end..
