What Do You Eat For Breakfast?

Tue Jan 06, 2004 4:45 pm

...when I have time, I usually go for the full bacon/eggs/hash brown/mushroom/sausage thing, but I usually settle for coffee and toast/croissant/cereal if time is limited. During weekdays I have coffee and cereal at my desk while surfing a.net  Big thumbs up
And you ?

When I have time, I do the pancake/bacon/eggs/orange juice, but usually it is the Cereals (Chocapic) and bread/butter/jam like this morning.

Wow, MYT, that's not much.

I eat some of those sometimes (before doing XCountries, for instance), but usually, I take 4 or 5 with half skimmed milk.

One, is just plain not enough

Usually either a breakfast bar or some oatmeal. This morning I'm having water probably. I know breakfast is supposed to be an important meal, but I'm always just as hungry for lunch whether I eat it or not and sometimes I'm more hungry if I do it eat so I feel like I"ve just wasted calories I didn't need to eat and that way I can eat more calories at lunch or dinner.

Sophiemaltese - the REAL cutest a.net member!!! Nice to have you back!

I make bread, and have it toasted, with apple juice. Latest "creations" are bread made with apple juice and apple pieces, or with coffee and diced dates, or the old standby of cheese and bacon. My wife, the heretic, just uses store-bought raising bread lol. Women!!!!!!

If I am late for work, then I eat a quick sandwich in the elevator on my way up when I get there.

Otherwise I have a coffee and two sandwiches.

During the week I'll either eat a BK Croisandwich or I'll have some cereal. Once in a while I'll make a small sandwich before I go out the door. On weekends, I'll do the bacon/eggs/pancakes/hashbrowns/sausage thing.

Usually nothing. Either I don't have time to eat anything, and when I'm not in a hurry to get somewhere in the morning, I sleep in well beyond breakfast time.

However, there are few things in life that I like as much as either a full American breakfast (eggs, hash browns, sausage and/or bacon, toast, etc) traditional full English breakfast (eggs, beans, bacon, mushrooms, etc). Problem is that's all heart attack food.

Cheerios, cereal bar (blueberry, strawberry, or raspberry), and sliced peaches. Same thing, day in-day out. When I was working in LA, and commuting an hour each way, it was two McDonald's bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits each morning. The inside of my Tercel got to be a mess. Age and marriage cured me of that one.

Many don't realize, if you skip breakfast, you may tend to over eat during the day...food for thought.. Majority of people don't eat breakfast, majority of people are overweight... At least in the US... Coincidence?

Well said there Ryan. That aside, if you are going to eat crappy foods, the best time is in the morning, that allows your body the entire day to burn it off. A famous physics teacher told me that one, and this guy was built like a brick shit house.

Sophie! You're not dead!

I have a pot of coffee on my way into the city and then either a breakfast Jack or Sausage McMuffin with egg followed by a Circle K cup of coffee.

I've had scrambled eggs on every weekday morning for about 10 years now.... It's boring as hell, and I can't eat it anymore (or look at it for that matter).

Today I had a cup of coffee...
