Your Opinions On A4

Tue Jan 13, 2004 6:58 am

Hello all,

is there anyone who owns Audi A4. I am looking into leasing '04 A4 (1.8T Quattro) and I would like to ask you guys/gals how do you like this car. How does it handles? (I never drove German car before, only Japanese). All opinoins are welcome.

Thanks.

Hey,

Two car threads in Non-Av tonight woo! Big grin

The 1.8 T engine is great. The car itself is fine, as you can expect from an Audi. Built to last, great kit... Make sure you get Sat Nav Big grin I would say the Audi A4 wheel base is similar to the Golf/Jetta/Bora So cornering isn't a problem, but the ride is a little "roomy" (Take it from me  Wink/being sarcastic) I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it!

VAG all the way!!!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Justin.

Backseat's a little cramped, my only vice, but hey...if you're not using it..more power to you!

It's an excellent car from a great manufacturer and quite a step up from the top-of-the-line Jetta. Plus, it's damn sexy.

Hope you're not planning on driving a whole lot though...those mileage restrictions on a lease really hurt that...

Why would you think about buying/leasing a car that you have never driven?

The 1.8T is a very nice engine, if you don't mind turbocharged engines. Some people don't like them. The coilpack issue has been dealt with, so that's a good thing. I'm just not a fan of leasing though, but go ahead if that's what you want.

Are you getting a manual or tiptronic?

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Audi A6 later on this year!

Hello all,

thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. It seems that I like this car more and more.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

To Flight152:
When I saw new A4, (redesigned for '04) it got my attention. I liked how desginers changed the back, and improved front. I am aware that german cars are good, but I never got chance to drive one. I have read quite a few publications, where the authors are very satisfied with the product (A4 in this case). Thus I am concluding that A4 is a good car.

OK thanks once more,

Cheers,

Of course, Audi of America gives us the crappiest NAV system ever.  Sad

the only gripe i have about that car is the fit. im a big and tall guy and it seemed a little cramped for me. other than that, i think its a very good car with the potential of being even better. ever look into an rs4? the a4 seems to be a very common car here on long island. personally, it wouldn't be my first choice but thats because of my tastes.

The RS4 was never imported into the United States.

Yep. AFAIK, RS4's are rare, if not non-existant in the U.S. You're probably referring to the S4 Avant.

BTW: A4's a great product.

If he's going for an A4 1.8T... me thinks the S4 might be a bit out of his price range.

Looks like maybe the 16-20 crowd on a.net is going from M3's to S4's! This is good news for Audi's, as they seem to be popular in the wet dreams of teens. Sales should continue to rise as these people age and their incomes increase.

P.S. This post is just a joke!

Man I hope you don't go blowing your money (AHEM, your credit, which a lot of those "You Ride Today!" dealers seem to think you have) unwisely....

When I saw new A4, (redesigned for '04) it got my attention.

The A4 was redesigned in 2002....

As an American I don't like A4 at all. It doesn't fit nicely in any binders that I own.

It's okay but I'm still saving for a Douglas A-4

Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.
