It's the funniest show on TV
. Larry David is a comic genius.
I was a Seinfeld fan from the beginning, but the show went downhill when LD
(one of its creators) left.
What's interesting is when you first see Larry, he's a odd looking, balding man. But after watching the show he trancends his appearance and becomes the epitome of *cool* or at least the ballsyest man in LA
How about the one when Larry returns to LA
from NYC and finds out his mom died, was buried, but no one bothered to tell him. He then finds out his mom was buried in the special section of the Jewish graveyard because they found a tatoo on her backside. Of course that was the same episode when Larry shares his yoga mantra with his friend, Richard Lewis, "Jai Ya".
And Larry, not too proud to use, actually overdo, his mom's death as a convenient excuse for his every whim from not going to particular social events to having Cheryl (his saintly wife) give him sex (a particularly funny scene).
What about when Larry accepts the offer to be auctioned off for a charitable cause and his memorable lunch with the high bidder. Classic CYE!
A great show.
You're only as good as your last departure.
