Bin Laden Capture Rumor Stirs Markets

Fri Jan 23, 2004 1:26 am

Interesting to see how the dollar spiked when a rumor circulated that Bin Laden had been captured. So the next time you hear something like that, if you are fast on the ball, call your broker and get long on the green (for you traders).

How much did the Dollar gain? I don't see any info on it except that it is still $1.26 for every Euro...

Look for some "interesting" news on Bin Laden in the next week or so.

Lots of "chatter"!

If we could get bin Laden, what boon to mankind that would be. Of course, I feel that's where all our resources should have been put the last year, instead of on this "sitzkrieg" in Iraq.

I wish I shared your optimism, Commander Rabb, but I don't. I'm not sure we'll ever get that bastard.

Am I being misled, or did Bush say that we would capture Bin Laden by the end of '01, when we had him "cornered" in the hills of Tora Bora?

He said something like that DLKAPA, but that, like WMD's, was quickly forgotten when they didn't pan out.

We did until fuckin' moron Jeraldo Revera opened his big trap. He announced to the world that we were tracking his satalite phone calls. After that, the man vanished.
