Favorite Twilight Zone Episodes

Tue Feb 10, 2004 1:58 pm

I have been watching these ever since I was a little kid. Today they are still just as cool.
What are your favorite episodes?

I really liked the one where the spaceship crew landed on the planet and found their crashed ship.

Then there is The After Hours This one freaked me out!

That's great.

The title in French is "La quatrieme dimension" i.e. "The fourth dimension".

I don't remember many episodes. I remember however the one with a short-sighted guy, who loves to read and happens to be the sole survivor of a nuclear war, and finds a library just before he breaks his glasses.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Geezz Sebolino...

This one (the short-sighted guy) is one of my favorites one.. remember the way the guy piled the books in front of the destroyed library?

The other one is the one where a couple has money problems and then they meet this mystery man with a wooden box with a press button on it. They would get 1 million if they press it, but someone they don't know dies if they do it.. Finally they press it and get the money, the man takes the box back and asked about it, he says "I'll give it to someone who does not know you two"

The episode with Shatner was classic...I even liked it remade in the movie version with John Lithgow playing Shatner's part.

A few years ago, there was an episode of "Third Rock From the Sun" where John Lithgow's character went to pick up his boss (or whatever) at the airport and William Shatner had the cameo as the boss. Lithgow asked him how his flight went and Shatner said something like, "It was a horrible flight! There was a man on the wing of the plane!" Lithgow responded, "The same thing happened to me!"
"On spaceship earth there are no passengers...only crew."

Yeah the cookbook story was awesome! Big grin

I also liked the one where the 707 went back in time and tried to land at Idelwild in the 30s.

I liked the old TZs better than the new. I loved that one where they were on the plane flying at night and there was guy on the wing. Awesome!

I also saw the one where the jails were full, so people had these symbols burned onto their heads. When someone had this symbol, other people in society weren't allowed to talk to them. They were shunned...A scary resemblance to McCarthy days.

TZ is an awesome commentary on society as a whole. It was brilliantly written.
