All the previous statements are true, while it may seem an attractive option to slack off and do nothing thought out all high school you will totally regret it when it comes time for college admissions letters and you get them small letters instead of the big envelopes with the schools name plastered all over them. And that coming from a reformed TOTAL slacker.
"My no.1 enemy in school is homework.I got a nasty habbit of not doing it..."
While it may not seem it, homework is a big deal because as u advance thought the grades the Homework becomes more and more important, not only its 10-15% of your grades it composes, but the practices it gives u in that area of study. When I was in more basic classes I could get away with not doing it and still pull good grades on tests, but now that I am a senior I gotta actually do my homework for AP
physics otherwise i would be getting D's.
Another plus to getting good grades is the more money you'll get in scholarships at the school. You may be able to get in, but the higher your GPA and SAT
score the more money the school will give you, and thats always a plus.
Good Luck with the University of maryland!
And on a similer note if your grades are some what lacking remember extracurriculars, go become an E.M.T. or start your own club at school, TRUST ME
, schools REALLLY like that.
