Here's my Official Snow Report for Atlanta:
Where I live, a few miles south of ATL
we picked up around an 2" of snow, at least that's how much I had to brush off the back window of my car this morning (only had about an inch accumalation on the grass). Where I work at, about a half mile south of ATL
, they got maybe an inch and a half. Snow totals in the Metro Area ranged from an inch to 4 inches. Most areas of the North Georgia mountains saw snowfall totals rangings from 2-4 inches, with some higher elevations reporting totals of 6" or so. The roads where I live were not that bad, with only a few icy spots reported, at least that's what the conditions were @ 7:30 this morning on my way to work. The only time I even can close to sliding was when I was pulling into the parking lot at work this morning. Had the cold air been in place earlier in the day on Wednesday, things could have been worse. Most of the snow around where I live and work has already melted, but with the lows tonight forecasted to be below freezing, there is the chance of the roads icing up for tomorrow's morning rush hour (I hope not, as I have to drive in that mess tomorrow for much of the day).
