To The Canadians: Cost Of Gasoline

Tue Mar 09, 2004 12:49 am

This coming weekend I will be heading to Collingwood, Ontario, and I was wondering what the current gasoline prices per liter are in Ontario. Thanks!!!

On the weekend the prices on average go up by about 10 cents over the Monday/Tuesday price. Surprising how not that many people realize this. Right now regular is going for 65.5, so it will probably be around 74.9 on the weekend.

Not exactly Ontario but in Montreal we had a liter at 86.9 cents just 3 days ago. Now it's between 80.9 ~ 82.9 per liter.

Be sure to wave at all the Canadians heading south to fill up their tanks!

He's probably coming to drink, gamble or buy cheap prescription drugs himself...

Actually, about 14 of us are going up to Blue Mountain to ski, but since it has been warm and the snow may not be that great, I predict the Collingwood beer stores may have a surge in business... Big grin

Ahhhh Blue Mountain, I used to go there all the time with my family when I was younger ... where are you staying? The hotel, if it hasn't changed, is really nice, and the hills aren't that bad either. As long as it is below freezing, if I am not mistaken, they can make snow and right now it is about -2 so you may be alright.

I thought we are having it bad here ($1.57 Atlanta- I know, it's worse other places) and we go by the gallon instead of the litre. I'll be planning for that when I'm in Montreal in August. Ouch !

What about € 1,089 for one litre of premium?

Sorry, just couldn't resist! Big grin

@Skyservice, we are staying in some kind of detached condo, or house, or something like that, but not a hotel. I don't know the specifics of the place. I guess I will find out when I get there.

I paid .67/litre today in Mississauga (Toronto) and $2.17/gallon in Orange County California yesterday.
