Soprano's Season 5

Tue Mar 09, 2004 6:15 am

Anybody catch the season premier last night? It was great. It looks like that pale white guy in the Wedding Singer, Fargo, Con Air, and I'm not sure what else is gonna be in it. That should be cool. It was also cool when they killed the waiter.

I cant wait for it to be shown in the UK but it will probably be ages as I no longer have cable

I like the one when they have to kill that Russian dude in the forest but fail and also the one where he looses it with Ralph for killing that gorgeous stripper

I am so jealous of you Dash8King  Sad  Sad  Sad

I too can't wait for it to be aired over here I really can't!

My favourite episode is "The Army of One" from Season 3 (The last in that series).. The ending is so moving  Crying

The one mentioned above, "Pine Barrens" is a great laugh... Just goes to prove the stupidity of Paulie Walnuts Big grin

I'm pretty sure that russian dude will be back. Paulie and Chris were telling the story at the bar, then they got in a fight cuase they were making fun of how each other acted.

My favourite is when they kill Ralphie.

Yeah the new season looks like its gonna be a good one. Its funny seeing carmela on her own. I also noticed it seems like some of them got new cars this season lol. Tony has an Escalade, Christopher an H2, and Meadow has a banged up Mustange. Too bad Carmela hasnt gotten the latest E Class yet, she still has her old one.

According to the producer of the show, the Russian aint coming back. Neither is Furio. Last night's episode was ok. It kinda set the tone for the next few episodes. The guy from Fargo, Steve buscemi, has just the right level of creepiness for the part. Makes Ralphie look like a cleancut choir boy.

Why would they reintroduce the Russian if not to bring him back later?

I thought it was a good episode, looks like this is going to be a good season. I thought Steve Buscemi was funny and will be good on the show. The end was good too, Tony sitting in the backyard smoking a cigar with the gun on his lap.

The endings of the show always end at weird/funny moments, with usually hilarious music.

At the risk of being a spoiler for those who have not seen the episode, I gotta say that there is a real potential jump-the-shark moment in it for me.
The outside scene with the waiter was just stupid. I'll reserve judgement for now pending how it plays out, but it might be a bad omen for the season.

I doubt.

After Tony got rejected by the Shrink, the only "real" woman he claimed to like, I can see him going back to Carmela later on.

as for the waiter scene, I loved it...I found it was funny and got back Christopher and Paulie together. I cracked up when christopher was running off saying "that's my money Paulie" :p

Sunday.

I think that Christopher and Paulie killing the waiter is going to come back to haunt one of, if not both of them.

Tony wasn't rejected by Dr. Melfi, he decided to leave because he thought they'd achieved all they can together.

I saw a little preview of the upcoming season that made me doubt Tony will be getting back with the wife.........don't want to be a spoiler, so I'll leave it at that.

The Season premier only attracted 12.1 million viewers! Why? The show is great, what happened? When the 4th Season premiered it attracted 13.6 million.
