After Madrid...Who's Next?

Thu Mar 18, 2004 2:33 am

Read from Debka.com

"Italy’s counter-terror unit reports large Muslim group of 80 from different nations stand ready to carry out mega-terror attacks in Italy. La Repubblica, Rome, cites possible dates as March 30 – start of Iraq war, April 4 – Easter, and June 12-13 – EU elections."

They also say that Al Qaeda is wondering wether to strike the US and Europe at the same time or...

Also that they struck Spain because they still see it as the Muslim Andalusia and wish to continue the old Muslim invasion of Europe, there for Italy and perhaps Austria where the forces were defeated...

But Italy is the next according to Debka, then London and France...
Then America, but maybe all at one time or in one week...

This is rumors from the intelligence world...

Geez.. if these Debka.com people have any real info they would have known about the Madrid attacks before hand.

What is Debka.com anyways.. like a spy supermarket tabloid of some sort?

I give the intellingency communtity more credit than having a "rumor" website.

It isn't like you have to be a genius to work out the prime targets, is it?

Bin Laden keeps on telling everyone the countries to be attacked.  Insane

The Daily Show with John Stewart recently reported that Al Qaeda is almost through with their terrorist bombings in Europe since they almost have what they want. However, it will take the repatriation of Spain for them to truly be happy, as they are still miffed at being defeated at Granada in 1492. Don't believe me that they are still miffed? How many Muslims do you know who name their children Ferdinand and Isabella? But to trace the roots of the problem, one must delve deeper into the history books. See, the Muslims began the conquest of Spain in 711 A.D., and in 756 A.D. an independent emirate was established with it's capital at Cordoba. Before that, however, Spain was mostly ruled by the Visigoths, who had conquered Spain and taken it away from the Roman Empire, who had ruled the Iberian Peninsula since about 218 B.C. From this, it is easy to see where the blame lies for everthing that has occured in Spain. Romulus deserves much of the blame, although Remus is not completely without fault.

Texan, I suspect you are merely scratching at the surface here.

Surely, the wolf that raised Romulus and Remus bears some responsibility for the outcome?

Cancidas: getting anxious ?

Who?

To give a broad answer, I would say that we in the UK are not. We've lived with it for forty years, only the scale has changed. People seem to be perfectly aware of the prospect, but you can't change your life over it.

Well well.. I'm not sure about other places around the world, but the popular press, TV, radio and the government are seriously jumping on the propaganda bandwagon with this one.

The paranoia is really being worked up now. It was the third morning in a row that we had front page headlines warning of massive scale terrorist attacks, first on trains and buses, then on pubs and clubs, and now on the underground.

When you read the reports closely you find that they contain NOT ONE SINGLE PIECE of real information. Just be scared ok? oh yeah, and suspect anyone around you of being a terrorist! Report them if they look at you funny.

At best it is just cheap sensationalism, at worst it's bloody propaganda designed to keep the population paranoid and subservient.

Many parts of the world (Spain and the UK included) have had to deal with terrorism for half a century. I even had an IRA bomb detonated less than 100 metres from where I was sleeping, in west London a few years ago. The threats now are no worse than they have ever been before.

It is only now the USA has become involved that this whole terrorist thing is being 'marketed' for the closed-minded masses.

Nothing has changed. Nothing will ever change until we do something about the root of the problem (hint: bombing the hell out of random countries makes the problem worse, not better).

I can't wait until this lying, cheating goverment that we have in this country goes the same way the one in Spain did.

Debka has many contacts in Mossad and CIA if you wanted to know...

Also No other agency have predicted or warned Spain of such an attack!
They analyze also, sometimes you can analyze and sometimes you cannot, but given the fact that other Al Qaeda members had been arrested and terrorist attacks thwarded by Spanish anti terror forces should have told you that something was in the making, but not so soon after those attacks...

The quote from debka was from the Italian intelligence not their own speculations!

The logical guess is those nations allied with the US in the Iraq situation.. UK, Oz, Poland, S. Korea, Japan, etc...

Which is pretty ridiculous, as Al-Qaeda and their ilk were no friends of the Hussein regime (perhaps 'allies' of convenience in the last 3 years or so...but no more than that, I would guess). Although I would be disppointed if the populace of the countries involved suddenly demand a pullout from Iraq simply because of terrorist threats ...if one is truly opposed to the US stand in Iraq, fine....but to start demanding action or policy changes simply to appease these gutless cowards is rather nauseating....and does nothing more than encourage random mass murder of civilians like the Madrid bombing. If people are prepared to accept such acts every time someone does something that Al-Qaeda and their allies do not like....then by all means, appease away folks!

I'm thinking of starting my own terrorist group to rid the world of those infidels.  Big grin

I bet Al Qaeda and other Islamic terrorist groups will continue to target the more conservative European governments, especially with their recent success in influencing the Spanish election.
