Let's Compare Apples To Oranges-Household Cleaners

Thu Mar 18, 2004 7:48 am

Now I'm sure most of you are familiar with "the power of orange" when it comes to cleaning things. It's basically been shoved down our throats for years. Yeah, that's nice...

But when I was looking through the newspaper, I saw an advertisement for "Lysol Apple Cleaner," or something like that. I don't think it's for cleaning apples specifically, but rather an all-purpose cleaner. So not only are these companies taking advantage of oranges, they've corrupted apples, as well.

Does anyone know how the apple cleaner performs compared to the more traditional orange powered cleaners? If, in fact, the power of apples has been long neglected and untapped, I would consider making the switch. However, if it is just another marketing gimmick to get all the orange haters back as customers, screw them - I'm sticking to orange.

I don't know about apple cleaners --- I've used quite a few of the orange products -- everything from Fantastik to Windex, all with pretty good results.

Then I discovered Fantastik Oxy Power and that is my favorite by far. That stuff cleans hard floors, glass, chrome, stoves, sinks, bathtubs....even carpeting....the best stuff I have ever used.

How does apple clean? Orange is part of the citrus group, which has proven itself as a good cleaner.

Ah, the power of O2 - hardly belongs in a discussion about fruit, but it's definitely worth a shot!  Big thumbs up

KYIPpilot - that's why I'm asking! I have no idea how or why or if it works  Confused

I've done some searching around and it's not even on Lysol's website. This is the only thing I could find:

Hope it's not a hoax
