Just posted on Yahoo Finance:
The euro rose against the dollar in early New York trade on Friday on reports of a bomb threat to Washington DC schools, traders said.
The euro recouped some of its earlier losses, rising to $1.2360 (EUR=) from $1.2335, according to Reuters data, down 0.3 percent against the dollar.
Washington D.C. police said they were searching area schools after a bomb threat delivered over the Internet.
Back in my school days, kids who made bomb threats might get schools shut for an hour or two. Now, they can manipulate international currency markets. Just amazing.
