I agree with Captaingomes
GNR were the best rock band of the late 80's early 90's. It was a good mix of talents, but Axl hasn't got what it takes to produce consistently, he just does not function that way. Misses all kinds of concerts and opportunities. Also, I believe slash is the best guitarist because ALL
his solos in GNR are deep. But out alone, we didn't see the same (Slash's Snakepit). Therefore I think he produced such a great output only under the pressure from Axl. Left to his own devices, he prefers doing a bit of less effort, doing gigs with his band here and there, and just live comfortably. That is why they clashed, Axl and Slash. And GNR died eversince the spaghetti incident album, which was crap.
Today, Chinese Democracy can't be such a good album, because the solos and drums of gnr simply aren't there, and what talents are gonna join Axl's dream today? Especially that he always wants to take most of the credit for himself, and do things his way.
