Ever Vote For Someone And Regret It Later?

Wed Mar 31, 2004 9:58 pm

I did.Once in 1989 for David Dinkins in the NYC mayoral race and again in 2000 for George W Bush for President.I am glad to have voted for Giulani in 93 and again in 97. I certainly will NOT vote for W this time around.I still haven't warmed up to Kerry though. I may hold my breathe and vote for Kerry anyway. Afterall, he will have a Republican congress to keep him in check so he doesn't go too far to the left.

I did.
It was in last years mayoral election here in San Francisco.
I voted for Matt Gonzales (Green) over Gavin Newsom (Democrat) in the runoff election.
Matt Gonzales barely lost to Gavin Newsom. When Gonzales gave his concession speech, all he did was bitch about the two party system and how he will still try to elevate the profile of the Green Party.
I was glad he lost after I heard his speech.

No, but I have read some threads before and then instantly regretted it. Kinda like right now.

My first election. I turned 18 and went to the polls to help choose Oregon's next governer. I don't remember who the opponent was. I voted for (and regretted) Barbra Roberts. She did nothing much for the state except change the state motto from "The Union" to "She flies with her own wings." I know very little of politics but I now know to pay attention a little better.
