I am here primarily to discuss and therefore learn and help others learn about a topic that all members on the forum have at least some degree of interest in: aviation.
Currently, I'm not much help on the "help others learn" front but I have learned a lot since joining and if it wasn't for A.net my knowledge of commercial aviation and planes in general would be the same that it was last year.
My most feverish interest in aviation is MEA
and the Lebanese aviation scene. Those of us who grew up in Lebanon or are from Lebanon have a special bond with MEA
that might be difficult for others to understand. MEA
is more than just an airline...it is a symbol of a country whose people refuse to give up, just like the airline itself. During the war, Cedarjets kept on flying into and out of Beirut long after others had left due to safety considerations. MEA
provided safe air transportation at a time when many needed it. I could go on forever about MEA
, but those of you who get irritated by another MEA
or BEY or Lebanon thread posted...please try to understand.
That said, it is true that there are lots of these threads but at least they are related to aviation.
