Nothing beats a Philly steak & cheese sandwich! Unfortunately it is not very common here in Germany  Sad. I also like these English club sandwiches, almost the only reason to visit the UK  Big grin.

If we're talkin' fast food; Wendy's single, no cheese. Otherwise a good burger: rare/medium rare with mustard with a Bass Ale ALWAYS hits the spot!  Big thumbs up Cowtippers here in ATL makes a great burger! Big grin

Two hearty pieces of GOOD rye bread (the hell with the Atkins diet) filled with Easter leftovers....better known as GOOD baked ham....had one for lunch, and I just might have another this evening while I watch the Detroit Red Wings. Of course, tonight's sandwich will be accompanied by one, maybe two Bud Heavies (again, the hell with the Atkins diet).  Smile

Hello,

As far as sandwiches go, its gotta be one from Subway. Warm roast-chicken breast, with lettuce, onions, gurkins and chipotle-southwest sauce.

As for Burgers, a mixed double of flame-grilled chicken and beef with cheese, fried onions, lettuce garlic-mayonaise, ketchup, salt& pepper, and of course Gurkins and tobasco sauce!

The muffaletta sandwich from Central Grocery on Decatur in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The best part or my trip there last year. I'd go again just for the sandwich.

I love chicken marinara sandwitch with lettuce, not tomatoes no onions (for the ladies, of course) and no olives.

I also like anything with aa VAST variety of good meats and cheeses.

Both of these will be accompanied by about 3 gallons of hot sauce.

There's a really good Kosher deli on Baker Street, London that does a terrific salt beef on rye with mustard. Order that with a gherkin and that is heaven (although somewhat pricey at £8.75).

Lemon Curd & Salad Cream.

I've eaten it since I was little, and have no idea why (other than that it tastes good).

A roast beef from Schlotzsky's Deli with a bag of thick-cut BBQ chips. I used to have one every other day over the summer on the way to or back from a training flight. Ahh...those were the days.

KROC, when you come to NY in the summer, there is an amazing, pretty well known Roast Beef joint in Brooklyn. About a 20 minute ride from JFK.

"The Ferdie Special", a 12-inch Ham and Roast Beef Po-Boy covered in debris (the scaps of roast beef in gravy left over at the bottom the pot) and other assorted fixings. You can get one at Mother's Restaurant in New Orleans. It's hands down the best sandwhich anywhere.

And I can always go for a good Muffelatta from Central Grocery...mmm mmm good.
