And QB001, that's a beautiful house for the price. My parent's house looks smaller than that one, without as much land around it, and it's valued at $495,000 CAD. Then again, houses in the Toronto area are ripoffs.
Yeah, the Montreal real estate market is quite reasonnable, compared to the rest of North America. But it has been picking up quite a lot in the last 5 years or so, especially in the area where I live (Rosemère/Lorraine/Blainville).
That house which pic I posted, you'd have been able to buy it for 225K$ 6-7 years ago. Now the owners are asking 369K$, they probably want 350K$. So, it's a 50%+ increase in less than 6-7 years. Not bad, if you're selling, of course.
