Wed Apr 21, 2004 7:41 am

After a good chat with moolies a few min ago, i was wondering (under 25's) maybe over, if u know what you want to do with your life

What type of job would you love to see your self in, have you started to make a move towards this kind of work already

For me, id love to work in the Aviation Saftey side of things, FAA, CAA or id love the chance at the NTSB

I ammaking a move to this kind of job by joining the RAF next wednesday (28th April) as a survival equip fitter, doing parachutes, g-suits helmets etc, and also hope to learn to fly in this job as well

Love to hear thoughts on yourdream job

Since I was like 8 or 9 years old I always wanted to be a truck driver.... So I took all the certificates and the drivers license and started driving.... Took me about 5 months to realize what a crappy job that was...

Nowadays I want to be either a helicopter pilot, or a ship captain... Both these things involves a quite hefty investment, and I'm a little bit scared that I will have the same experience again... Only this time I'd have like a 100.000 $ debt to the bank or something...

But, that's the great thing, and advantage that you Americans and British have... Join the Marine, Navy, Army or the RAF and get the training for free.... Well almost... You have to invest time, but don't we all?  Wink/being sarcastic

I heard porn stars make good money....Maybe that could be something for me  Big thumbs up They seem to have a lot of fun in their daily job... Except when the boss comes in and say: Right Jeff, today you are taking it up the tailgate.... You'd know he wasn't joking or using the expression as a metaphor...  Sad

On May 3rd I will start my new job (marketing for an airline) and I hope that I like it (I still miss my old job, revenue accounting at an airline).

What do you want to do with your life ???

God, if I ever heard a Twisted Sister moment, this was it...

"– All right mister, what do you think you are doing? You call this a room? This is a pig stie. I want you to straighten up this aera now! You are a discusting slob! Stand up straight, tuck in that shirt, adjust that belt buckle, tie those shoes. Twisted Sister, what is that? Wipe that smile off your face. Do you understand? What is that? A Twisted Sister pin, on your uniform? What kind of a man are you? You're worthless and weak. You do nothing, you are nothing, you're siting here all day and play that sick, repulsive, electric twanger. I carried an M16 and you, you carry that, that, that guitar! Who are you? Where do you come from? Are you listening to me? What do you wanna do with your life?"

I wanna rock!

Well, I am a couple years past 25, but since I was thinking about this earlier today, I hope you don't mind if this 27-year old participates...

First of all, my most important life goal is to get married and have a family.

Other goals, in no particular order:

-Own a house (normal house--nice, but nothin' fancy)
-Get a masters degree (admitted already)
-Finish my multi-engine and multi-engine instructor ratings
-Get my CFI-Glider
-Get my ATP
-Get at least one jet type-rating
-Conquer math
-Stay in good physical shape; exercise regularly
-Design, build, and fly my own RC sailplanes
-See a NASCAR race live

My Realistic Goal's:

1. To work for an airline - preferabely VS.
2. To work at LHR.
3. To be a Flight Dispatcher.

What I've actually acheived. - all of them !!.

My ultimate goal's :

1. To live in Australia.

2. To gain a full ATPL and get paid to fly - don't care what anything will do as long as I'm being paid to fly.

Always considered No. 2 as way out of my reach due to costs and not doing too well at school, but I'm determined that this year I'm going to give it a shot as soon as I can raise the funds from the bank.

Will I acheive it ?, I don't know but at least I will be able to say that I tried to do it, rather then "what if" and if I do get the ATPL then I will be able to move to OZ too.

I want to own my own string of Car dealerships that are mod friendly and honest (*Note not ricer friendly).

I have actually started on that goal by talking to a local car dealership owner with seven dealerships and I am now working for him in the detail bay. I told him I wanted to learn the works besides being an auto mechanic, so here I am. What I do now is detail new cars and drive cars from dealership to dealership...I LOVE IT! This summer after my first year at college I will be selling cars and hopefully be working my way up.

So far so good.

Other Goals-
-Get my BS/MBA in business management in less then 6 years from today
-Learn Italian and visit family in Italy
-restore a car from the ground up using only the best parts and no time frame

Lastly I want to get Jesus back in my life, but right now that is very hard for me with my past...But that's a work in progress.
Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten, Uptown, what now? Lets make it happen.

I have already reached my goal.
And that was to be a stationmanager for an airline outside my own country.
And even though I work for a small danish airline I reached my goal. And I want to gain some more experience here before I'm heading for SEA, EWR and IAD to become stationmanager for SK there  Big thumbs up
