Thu May 20, 2004 10:42 pm

Sorry for this "stupid" question but since english is not my natural language I want to be sure if this name "Carol Russell" might be of a men or a women.

Thanks

Interestingly, Maury Povich's (television journalist) father's name was Shirley.

Carol is universal (even with one L).

It is interesting, after all....life isn't easy for a boy named Sue (in the words of Johnny Cash)  Big grin

Thanks for your feedback, I didn't know if I should reply with a "Mr. Carol" or "Ms. Carol" but now I already did it with a "Ms."

Mirage, in future if you are not sure if you are addressing a male or female.... use M. - this is the modern way of addressing someone if you are unsure and it is totally acceptable.

Monica Seles (tennis pro) father's name is Karolj. They are from (the former) Yugoslavia. I wonder if the english version of his name be 'Carol', also?
