Don't you find this ridiculous?! The government wants the names and IP addresses of every person registered on Blackboxvoting.org. supposedly, we're all criminals by being associated with a site that calls for voting machines with a paper trail, whose head has leaked many internal diebold memos, the effects of which caused California to ban Diebold voting machines.

Now we're criminals because, supposedly, VoteHere was hacked and we're all seen as suspects. Or are we really? Because that doesn't seem to be the real case behind this. It appears, at least to me, that they want our names and locations to purge us from the voting rolls this november. This government is so corrupt I can't believe it. What ever happened to democracy in this nation? I was born in America damnit, not Nazi Germany.  Angry

Actually East Germany was even worse than Nazi Germany when it came to privacy issues. But GWB and his cronies love it when the regular Joe wants to live the American dream...
Where have all the tri-jets gone...

1st rule of engagement when you have no other argument:

Try to discredit the source.  Insane

Dude... its a tabloid... it's supposed to be scandalous. I didn't say the article isn't accurate... but there's probably more to the story. I'll wait to hear the rest of it until I make a decision. (Although if it is true like in the article then it sucks.)

Isn't it equally as easy to say my source is credible and if you question it you're scared of what it says and therefore you're trying to discredit it.

If the source is credible, post a link to a mainstream publication and the counterargument is defeated. If you can't find a link in a mainstream publication, why is it wrong to question the credibility of the source?

If you want to run a valid survey you must be able to link the signatures of the signers back to real people, that's why they ask for your address and other identifiable information when you sign a political survey. Asking for the names and IPs is not unreasonable say to do that for an internet survey if it's true.
At worst, you screw up and die.

The Seattle Weekly (SeaWee) isn't a bad paper. The only I don't trust are their music reviews.
