Mon May 31, 2004 10:34 pm

At the bottom of this article there's a list of some of the most famous typos in the Bible. I found some of them funny, you might as well.

Maybe they weren't typos... really. Perhaps, some printers having fun... The same printers from Psalm 119:161. Then again, it could have been an english language translation issue.
But, I wonder... Because, after all, women do adorn themselves in modern apparel

" The source of these typos is unknown" (from the linked article)

mm...how convenient

Anywhoo you've found the reason that Christians often have several different translations, concordonces and commentaries to cross reference and check accuracy. Also for the very important reason that some of us are actually intelligent enough to realise that the English version wasn't the first  Big grin so we need to look at the cultural, spiritual and grammatical contexts.

Having a conversation with God while you're reading it helps too, you should try it, you'll probably surprise yourself!

Nah. I'm about as hard-core Southern Baptist as a mix-raced fag can be.......... but even I realize and can admit that there are tons of inaccuracies from version to version of the bible. Like King James' blatant omissions.

Can someone here explain to me the difference between the varying 'versions' of the Bible. I mean obviously they all convey the same message but why are there differences in the text? Like would the bible of a Coptic Orthodox differ from that of a Protestant?
