Memorial day in DC was an inspiring, great event. All of the WWII
veterans in town made it memorable. Many of them were friendly and willing to share their stories, which were fascinating.
It was really nice to talk with people about things that are good with America, and worth fighting for - instead of the daily partisan debate (of which I am sometimes a participant!).
My mother, now 82, was a Navy telegraph operator during WW II
. This was a great weekend for her.
