Beckham has missed his last 3 penalties for England. Firstly one in a Euro qualifying game about a yr ago when the ground gave way under his feet, he slipped and the ball almost left the stadium. The second was against France at Euro 2004, a great penalty with bags of power but Barthez saved it - pretty lucky. Finally during the Portugal match last week he slipped again and missed. It's easy to blame the ground giving way but I do feel that he should have taken this into account when taking the kick (especially as he has now made the mistake twice).
