1000 Grains Through The Hourglass Of History

Fri Jul 02, 2004 9:35 am

Since the glorious day of February 23, 2004, 9 fortnight and 3 days ago, our community has been awaiting this very moment. It is as if the sands of time have played tricks with our sensitive emotions.

Now it is with great pleasure that I present my 1000th post.

Those who deserve to be thanked for contributing to this grand illusion know who they are. Because the only one worthy of such praise is myself. However I will give some credit to the other members whom I've conversed with and ridiculed along the way.

That this day falls so close to the United States of America Independence Day is a coincidence not lost on me. For today we are all independent. Free from the artificial rules imposed upon us by this cyber society. Liberated from the wrath of the moderators who are trying to restrain us.

However, for some this is not cause for celebration. Sadly, it marks the 1000th time that many of you have realized you are simply inferior.

How many more posts will follow is still debatable. I, along with you, hope they will continue forever.

As not to be long-winded, LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN! Now follow Ben's lead and (that's bow, not bend over and take it from MYT332)

Congratulations on your sad achievement. Almost 8 posts a day... And still I wonder what your specialty is. Oh, that's right, it's not being funny, just like me.

Your friend,
Armitage

Armitage - hey, you can count... now count to 10 and jump. Take JeffM with you. Don't forget to ponder my respect rating on the way down.

Well I gotta say, when WellHung first joined the site I didnt like him all that much. But as the months have passed, he's turned out to have pretty damn good jokes. And pretty good at making all those Brits and a few Americans look stupid. He's well on his way to being to future superpower. If you want to see what I'm talking about, just go check the "MattD's 1 star thread.

So that amounts to...let's see...1000 posts in 129 days.

Which is nearly eight posts per day, every single day.

That's practically a spam mailshot.
