Fri Jul 02, 2004 1:43 pm

I'm the same as MerC, drink beer and chase girls, however, it was seven years ago when I last caught one! Either they run very fast or the ecess beer is giving me some "relaxed muscle" at the front. When I am not doing that I go fishing - again, prob 7 years ago when I last caught. Better keeping to the planes and socialising. Speaking of which, it is my AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA trip soon, the best place to combine my interests.

Cheers, Steve.

Reading (a bit)
Photography ( a lot now)
Flying (try not too much, 'cause it's hurting my wallet)
Hiking (beautiful mountains around)
Spending time with friends
Not really into spotting myself, as I get bored easily after 30 minutes alone at the airport. However, I like the social side of spotting with friends, chatting between planes... etc...

did you hijack an Air Scotland's plane or discover the wreck of a Scottish galion ?

No way to find Ardbeg here, Bowmore is available.
My favourite is Singleton, but only from the second glass onwards..

Tel Aviv boasts a lot of bars and liquor stores offering those. The taxes here are quite high so my main supplying point is the James Richardson Duty Free @ TLV. You are invited.

    Tristar100:
That would be a kind of a sporting activity, similar to football, except every team consists of only one player. A common, though not mandatory rule is for teams to be of an opposite gender. The more you score the more points you get within the league of your fellow sportsmen.

    Interests?

Politics, history, cooking, technology, drinking and women.

    Hobbies?

Reading (copious amounts), posting on places like these for kicks, occasional opinion column or article for some publication or another, maintaining a website or two, fishing and hunting in the autumn, biking, and yardwork.

I've also been known to go to the range now and then and fire a few dozen rounds through my favorite paper-puncher.....

Ohh sure Ben i will turn up definitely some day. Infact I should be going to the man meet (how freking long is that going to take to drive just to see less interesting planes than at my beloved LHR). But unfortunately my Dad (they're divorced) goes to the Far East a lot (hence part of the Aviation interest and he says he's taking me with him this summer, woohoo) thinks I can drop plans at his discression and to be honest, its a lot easier just to do that. So I frequently cannot go to LHR. Infact like you I do get very bored after the first 30 mins and end up wishing I was A) a pax on the plane B) the pilot or C) the owner of the entire airline (finally a LHR-HNL service!) or D) Sleeping with the pilot's wives right now (because right now im pissed and aroused..........................and am going to regret typing this tomorrow). So it should be good to meet you. PS ive got plenty o room in the car if anyone wants a lift LON-MAN. Also as ive written loads of post in this thread so I guess I should add my interests

Guitar (im a grade 8 dammit)
    Women
    Drink
    Football
    in particular Arsenal
and occasionally England (but is it worth it)
also planes (A340's, the sexiest plane ever)
    Drink
Those stupid animal documentaries (especially the ocean ones)
    Food
    Food
    Drink

    Kebabs
    Cheese (Camembert in particular)

welcome to the convivial virtual bar. If you perceive the difference between a blend and a single malt you are already on the right path.

    LY7E7
thanks for the invitation, but last time I tried to fly to TLV I was rejected for security reasons...it was not a direct flight, so being left stranded in a transit airport in the middle of the night and without even a hint of a reason, I have decided to ban the airline. (note: I have been many times before this)
