No-Frills CD

Well, Apparently they will start producing LOW-FRILLS CDs that look just like a burned copy, and then they will produce LUXURY copies with music videos and stuff that will be more expensive.

So when will these luxury cds be available to download.

Ya know, if the Music Companies were smart, they would encrypt the CDs with a code that would prevent it from being copied. HELLO!!!!

Ya know, if companies stopped shelling out millions of dollars to crappy "musicians" who write crappy tunes in the first place, there would be no need to pirate songs. Hello?

Yeah, you got a good point there. Whatever happened to first class bands like Black Sabbath, and The Beatles. Now you got freaking Boy Bands and Hilary Duff. BLECH!!!!

I agree it won't work because the pirates wouldn't buy it if it were delivered at cost.

But sadly copy protection doesn't work either because the kiddos (here too) will just complain that they can't make their "backup copy"...

And of course as long as there are CD players with line out or any other output you can plug into a recording device (like a microphone...) there will be a way to pirate the discs...

Maybe more people should pay money for their music instead of discussing ripping options.

If the music was sold at reasonable prices, there would be no ripping problem. Discs have come down a bit over the last couple of years, but there is room for more decreases.

It's been a while since I've cared about shop CD prices - what do we have eBay for?

Usually, when I hear something I like on the radio, I download it. I listen to it a few times, and if I still like it, I'll visit eBay and buy the album. That's most often a few bucks cheaper than buying it at Amazon, and I've discovered music I would never have found in a shop.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

That is one lame excuse. Do you think it right to steal a Mercedes because you think the price is too high? If you can't afford a CD in Winnipeg, maybe you should be more concerned with your income?

If there were no ripping , there would be no overpricing problem.
