Why? I dont see the big problem with B6. Actually, I think they are a respectable airline.

Hey, Ya I agree they are a respectible airline but I cant stand an all Airbus fleet. Not only that I dunno what the huge hype over B6 is.

These all are just my opinions though and I respect everyone elses.

"I dunno what the huge hype over B6 is."

Very reasonable fares, Direct TV, and assigned seats. Who wouldn't love that?

Dtwclipper --

What in the world is wrong with you....on your list....#03.....you forgot the Ford (I-94) and the Jeffries (I-96)  Smile

Detroit has got to be the best city....tell me, how many cities in the USA would pay almost 2 million dollars over the last 4 years to maintain a baseball stadium that is slowly rotting away and has not been used since October, 1999?? That is what the City of Detroit has dumped into Tiger Stadium in the last four years. They keep waiting for someone to "re-develop" the site. If that isn't a reason to make Detroit the best city, I don't know what is.

I'd rather have F9 serve DTW than B6 anyday. With Spirit ending their flights to/from Denver, and United still quite shakey, you never know.

I am sooooo sorry to have forgotten the Ford & Jeffreis, ten lashes.

I also agree with you on Tiger Stadium.

Maybe if Jetblue starts service, we can re-name the JetBlue Stadium, and use it for.....?

Dtwclipper ---

I wonder how many people are reading these names for freeways and are wondering what the heck we are talking about. I wonder how many major cities name their freeways...I know Chicago has the Dan Ryan, the Kennedy and the Eisenhower, but what about other major cities.

I drove by Tiger Stadium the other day and it really looks sad...it should go. I remember when they tore down the old Olympia Stadium...I nearly cried...don't even think about it any more.

Have a good evening.

Yup, we already have WN and NK.

Fares to the NYC (LGA) are already low, therefore we really don't need B6. NK keeps fares low on many other leisure routes.

, Direct TV,

People complain that the legacy carriers don't have Direct TV. Well, it's easy for B6 and the other smaller fleet carriers to install these services rapidly. The traditional carriers already have 500+ aircraft. Compare the expense:

Legacy: Installed PTV's in 500+ aircraft in a devoted timeframe (1-3 years?): $$$$$!
New Airlines: One aircraft a time: total fleet less than 100 short-term (when delievered): NOT nearly as much.

You forgot to mention that Detriot has no "appeal" like L.A.

Come to West L.A.

My birth certificate says "City of Detroit, Coleman A. Young, MAYOR" (making me a "true" Detroiter) and, well.. I can tell you that Detroit isnt the best. The place sucks.

Ive lived in suburban Detroit all my life and the city sucks.

I live in Ann Arbor most of the year, and I try to make it a point to never tell anyone I live near the City of Detroit. Sometimes, when I'm home, some friends will ask me how "Detroit was," and I'll say "I dauno...I live in Ann Arbor."

Detroit's a great place if you're looking for a really big version of Compton, CA.

I think it would be good if Detroit had JetBlue service. The livery might make the city look a little brighter  Big grin

As an L.A. transplant from Dee-troit, I don't miss the Grand Canyon sized potholes nor do I miss the endless miles of orange construction barrells come each April or the 3 lane "Expressways".

But, LA will never have a Greenfield Village or a Stevie Y or a tunnel that connects it to another country.
