I will be attending American Professional Bartender's Academy (that the name?) in Calumet City, IL
. I can't attest to much right now, but it is pricey. A 60 hour course costs $1000 when there's no special, but you pay for what you get. They don't teach shortcuts or gimmicks, they emphasize real life fundamentals to bartending. During a consultation, one student in the course came in early to practice mixing drinks, which they allow, and he seemed to be a hotshot at it. I'm not 21 yet, but that's how I intend on paying for flight in eight months. Also, you're under their wings for life as they usually have job placement opportunities for any alumnus. Overall, I'd say if you have the cash to shell out, go for it.
I don't know, so this is my signature.
