Hopefully Eli can lead the Giants past the Eagles, Redskins and Cowboys this year and have better success than his brother.

Last year the Pats didn't have a running game, and we know how that turned out. This year they do. It's gonna be fun seeing how long the streak can continue, hopefully all the way to Jacksonville.

I think this is the Seahawks superbowl year!

And consider that I batted .500 on my prediction of an undefeated season last year, I feel pretty confident that I will be proved right.

I agree with your AFC East positions except switch the last two slots (Bills 3rd and Jets dead last). I don't think the Jests will do that well this year. One thing's for certain - The Dolphins will be fun to watch again!

The Browns will not win the Super Bowl, and you heard it hear first.  Big grin

They may have a new coach by the end of the year-I hope.

A few opinions and predictions:

New England will repeat as Super Bowl champs.

Cincinnati will have first winning season since '90.

My Minnesota Vikings will make the playoffs for first time in four years, but choke as usual.

Detroit should be at least .500, as they had possibly best draft this year.

Philly should be all right after signing The Freak and Terrell Owens, but the strain of three straight NFC Championship losses may come back to bite them.

Houston should keep getting better, given their penchant for close games last season.

Dallas has nowhere to go but up in the second year of The Tuna.

Tampa Bay will go further downhill after losing several key players from their Super Bowl championship team.

Why does seemingly everyone pick Miami to win the Super Bowl every year? Considering their penchant for December gagging (and postseason IF they make it), they are one of the most overrated teams at the beginning of every year.

Is it possible for Denny Green to turn the Cards into a contender? He did it in Minnesota, but considering the Vikes postseason record in those years, had little to show for it.

Vikings in the bowl...

Losing to the Colts by missing a last-second field goal...e.g. the infamous 1999-season Atlanta NFC Championship game.

Either way...go Vikes!

I have a feeling our Vikings are going really far this year. Defense will be a lot better, so that should help out a lot. Our offense is pretty good as is!

Pats will repeat in the Super Bowl. That team is so deep its ridiculous. Think of it this way: Many of their defensive starters were injured at one point or another last season. They still managed to win 15 games in a row. This year everyone is back and healthy and they've added even more defensive players (altough they did lose Ted Washington). On offense they got Corey Dillon to improve their weak running game. The Pats are the total package.

I too think that the Pats will repeat. The offense is pretty much the same, except the addition of Dillon makes it all the more stronger.

The defense is also top-notch. Pretty much our entire secondary is back (and O-T-I-S is back as well). The linebacking corps got stronger with Rosevelt Colvin being around for hopefully a full season (5.5 quarters of action doesn't really count...), and on the line, Mount Washington is gone, but Vince Wilfork should be able to make an impact pretty early. Not to mention that Ty Warren should improve this season with a full year under his belt.

(and O-T-I-S is back as well).

He was cut the other day Sad

Hopefully Ty Law's ego won't flare up again during the season. We have a great defensive backfield. I can't wait for the season.

The Cardinals will win 9 games at least, and Larry Fitzgerald will be the Offensive rookie MVP. We were so lucky he fell to us at #3 pick. When the first picked him I was like well we don't really need a WR we should have gotten something else, but then I changed my mind. Think about it, Anquan Boldin on one side. Larry Fitzgerald on the other with Bryant Johnson. What team in this League has 3 at least 4 star corners? The answer is none. The Cardinals are going to throw on everyone this year, Josh McCown is a name many people are going to get to know very soon. This year is going to be exciting, I can't wait.

The original posted of his topic is on crack. The Miami Dolphins SUCK! Dave
Wannstedt is not the coach to take them to the playoffs and they also need a better starting QB than Jay Fiedler. The NY Jets always pose a problem to.

I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan and I think we are going to have a year slightly better than last year. With the addition of Keyshawn Johnson, Vinny Testeverde, and Marcellus Wiley I think we are headed in the right direction. I think we could bu Super Bowl material if our offense could get it in gear (We were 15h last year). Our defense looks strong again and I hope out #1 ranked defense will flourish.

Last year New England had a hell of a team and I think they will be a contender this year. I also look for Green Bay to make a charge. If Dallas doesent make it then I hope Green Bay does. Brett Favre is by far the toughest and best Quarterback in the league and I would like to see him win one more Super Bowl.

Oh, BTW Philladelphia Eagles SUCK!

Preseason starts in less than a month and I am very excited about it.

You are exacly right about the Fins. They are extremely overrated and like you said the December choke always gets them. The Jets will play hell with them this year.

KROC,

Whazzup brahhhh. Quick question on the decades of suffering for Pats' fans...4 Superbowls in the past 18 seasons (including 2 victories) is not too shabby, so I must disagree.

For those of you above trolling for the following statement: "The Cleveland Browns will win the Superbowl and you heard it here first," I will throw it out there just for the record. Catch me in walking down the concourse if you wanna talk off the record, but for the record...

The Cleveland Browns will win the Superbowl and you heard it here first

True, but in between the first three Super Bowls was hell. It wasn't only having bad teams that made us suffer, it was Foxboro Stadium. Quite possibly the worst slab of concrete in the good ol' USA. Now we have an incredible team, and an incredible stadium.

The Saints still suck, and the Patriots win again, this time playing the Eagles in the big dance.

Not much changes.

I agree with AASuper83's picks with the exceptions of the AFC East and NFC South. Here's my picks for those two divisions:

AFC East:
1. New England (Provided Tom Brady stays healthy. His backups are sketchy to say the least, especially Kittner and Miller, their latest QB signings.)
2. Miami
3. Jets
4. Bills

NFC:
1. Atlanta (Provided Vick stays healthy. While the #2 spot is really still up for grabs, as Detmer is currently penciled in there, with rookie QB Matt Schaub penciled in @ #3. The Falcons will go with 3 QBs, and they do have an additional option @ QB in WR Woodrow Dantzler, who they inserted in as QB on several occassions last season. I'm pretty confident that the team will shine this year, and could really run away with the division.)
2. Tampa Bay
3. Carolina (Last year was a bit of a fluke, much like with the 1998 Falcons)
4. New Orleans (Oh to have the paper bag concession in New Orleans!)
