Jason Giambi Diagnosed With Benign Tumor

Sat Jul 31, 2004 12:13 pm

This was just reported twenty-minutes ago on Baseball Tonight. According to the Associated Press, New York Yankees First Baseman Jason Giambi has been diagnosed with a Benign Tumor by doctors. For the last couple of weeks, the Yankees and Giambi have been trying to find out what has kept Giambi from gaining any strength. This is aside the intestinal parasite he, Kevin Brown (who pitched great tonight in his return to the Yankees) and Giambi's wife suffered from the Season Opening Trip to Japan. All I can say is that I pray to god that Giambi recovers from this and even if you do not like him, you can't wish this upon him or anybody.

Well, benign is better than malignant.

As much as I hate the Yankees and Yankee fan, I hope the dude will recover. No doubt he has tons of talent. Hopefully he will be back in the game very soon. Sorry to hear that.  Sad
