Increasing Vertical - Platform Shoes Really Work?

Tue Aug 03, 2004 5:38 pm

I am currently looking to increase my vertical as I can't play above the rim just yet, and I just saw an ad for a thingy called the "Strength" shoe.
It's basically a platform shoe designed in such a way that the weight of your body rests on your claves, thus exercising these muscles and increasing your jumping ability.
Has anyone tried out these things and do they work as advertised ?

A big strapping lad like you hardly needs any more height Will, so what do you need to jump so high far?
It takes a big man to admit they are wrong, and I am not a big man.
